Who is CVEDC? Champlain Valley Educator Development Center, the Educational Services Agency (ESA) for Northwestern Vermont (Chittenden, Franklin, and Grand Isle Counties). CVEDC consists of 14 supervisory unions, 2700 teachers, over 1200 paraprofessionals, and 150 administrators who provide educational services to over 30,000 students of the total PreK-12 student population of Vermont.
ESA Structure:
- Build on existing consortia and collaboratives (CVCC)
- Establish strong link with Dept. of Education School Improvement Coordinators/Consolidated Federal Programs
- Involve Institutions of Higher Education and service providers within the region
- Shared decision making
The Purpose of ESA's: Increase Student Learning and Improve Schools by Providing High Quality Professional Development to:
