August 14 & 15, 2017 DATE CHANGE due to Snow Days!

Target Audience: Innovative Teachers and Teams considering a Maker Space

You’ve heard about this Maker Space movement, perhaps even visited a maker space, and now as you are thinking about student engagement, project-based learning, coding as a language and personalized learning, you are ready to hear and do more! What do you and your team need to know?

Lucie – way ahead of her time, will share insights, opportunities, materials and the research on WHY creating a maker space will build capacity in your students and strength in your instruction. She will share design ideas and give you/your team an opportunity to play with materials to see the connections.

Maker Spaces can be used to support:
· Instructional shifts
· Proficiency based learning
· Standards of Practice
· Differentiated Learning
· Creative Thinking and Student Engagement

You will leave energized, with some fun materials and ready to take the next steps to bringing this innovation to your class or school. Lucie runs a weeklong institute every summer: Create – Make – Learn, which could be a great opportunity for participants to extend their learning. Visit to learn more!
