Target Audience: Vermont Instructional leaders and their leadership teams
Two popular authors and presenters who have put innovation and maker/project-based learning at the forefront of a progressive and nationally-recognized school system are coming to Vermont. Pam and Ira have guided Albemarle K-12 (their former district) into a student-centered, community-driven school that incorporates relationship-building and project-based learning into their daily work. The school design is outside the box, to allow for music studios, charging stations, and project/collaborative spaces.
With a strong focus on racial equity, differentiated mastery learning and lifelong learner competencies, educators visit this Virginia system regularly from around the country to watch the planning and instructional strategies that have made them so successful in action.
In addition to a wonderful dinner with your Vermont colleagues, we will hear from Pam and Ira as we think about the ‘user experience’ in our systems and how diving into that data can help you lead into more engaging and meaningful student opportunities.
