Karen Lehning is currently a math specialist at the Georgia Elementary and Middle School. She has been an educator for 16 years, both as an elementary classroom teacher and math leader. After completing her graduate work through the Vermont Math Initiative (VMI), she became passionate about improving math instruction to meet the needs of all learners. In her current role, Karen serves as a collaborative partner, co-teacher, and coach for elementary classroom teachers and paraprofessional staff. She has taught undergraduate courses and workshops over the past seven years for both current and aspiring teachers of mathematics.
