    This guided experience gives you the vocabulary, context, and collaborative space to truly internalize and apply the "Mentor Mindset"—the revolutionary approach Dr. Yeager outlines for motivating and connecting with today’s students.

  • Bridge the Gap: Practical Math Structures and Scaffolds for Tier III (Grades 2-5)

    January 18th, 2026 and February 15th, 2026

    This two day mini series will provide research-based routines, structures, and practices for small group instruction, especially in Tier III specialized learning scenarios.

    Participants will gain tangible strategies for implementing rapid cycles of targeted instruction while linking a more explicit relationship between what's happening in Tier III and its impact on Tier I core math class.

  • Access for All: Practical Ways to Adjust Tier 1 Math Tasks, K-3

    HALF DAY VIRTUAL: February 4th, February 19, March 24, 2026, 9am-12pm

    FULL DAY IN-PERSON: April 15th, 2026, 9am-3:30pm

    How do I adjust my Tier 1 math tasks so that every learner can actively and meaningfully participate? 

    Join us for an energizing mini-series focused on making Tier 1 math tasks truly accessible for every young learner. 

    We’ll explore simple, powerful adjustments that help all students take part in meaningful mathematical thinking—whether they’re working in whole-group routines, small-group investigations, partner tasks, or independent practice. Using familiar programs like Investigations, Bridges, and Illustrative Math—plus rich resources like Thinking Classrooms routines, 3-Act Tasks, Slow Reveal Graphs, and Esti-Mysteries—we’ll try out and adapt real tasks together.

Our Members

Champlain Valley Educator Development Center (CVEDC) serves member school districts all over Northwestern and Western Vermont: Addison, Chittenden, Franklin, Grand Isle, and a portion of Washington counties. CVEDC partners with 17 supervisory unions to provides educational services for over 35,000 students. Nearly 40% of the total PreK-12 student population of Vermont is positively impacted by our work.
